Collegiate Comets is a nonprofit corporation, offering a free, high-quality education in the physics underlying rocketry. With our connections to both amateur and professional rocketeers we aim to lead students towards an appreciation of not just rocketry itself, but of physics, and the pursuit of education.

Location

Collegiate Comets serves the South Bay region of Los Angeles county, stretching from Palos Verdes to Inglewood. Students are taught the basics of physics, including force, energy, and momentum out of our local community centers.

San Pedro’s Angels Park is where we host monthly model rocket launches with our students. The rockets serve as the hook to engage young children, and motivate them to continue their educational career.
